Today, the Portlanders for Safe and Healthy Schools campaign launches our second video ad. It features PPS students at northeast Portland's Rose City Park Elementary, and highlights the importance of getting the lead, asbestos and radon out of our schools.
With one week until the polls close, it's important that we get this ad in front of as many Portland voters as possible. Over 27% of Portland’s voters are undecided about whether or not the lead should be out of our schools’ drinking water.
If we can blanket the airwaves, social media and mailboxes in the next week with the many reasons why we need to pass the PPS School Bond, we will have the schools that our children and our city deserve.
It's that simple.
Every $50 you can donate buys us two thousand advertisements across the internet. $25 buys us a thousand views on facebook, and even $10 helps us give 1000 advertisement reminders to vote on our final weekend.
Thanks to the Oregon Political Tax Credit, individuals can donate up to $50 to Political Action Committees and receive a full rebate on the following April's taxes. Couples who file taxes together can get a $100 rebate.
